BIOGRAPHY

Robin Tercero Montgomery, a native of San Antonio, Texas, holds a Master of Arts in Voice Pedagogy from Texas Woman’s University, where she studied with nationally recognized voice pedagogue and former Metropolitan Opera principal performer Joan Wall. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Southern Methodist University, studying with Linda Anderson-Baer, a specialist in modern classical music.

Among the roles Ms. Montgomery has performed are Adele (Die Fledermaus), Papagena (The Magic Flute), and Monica (The Medium). She has presented recitals, masterclasses, and workshops in Germany, Italy, Oklahoma, Tennessee, North Texas, and other cities within the United States.  

For over 25 years she has taught private voice lessons. More than 80 of her students have been selected for a Texas All-State Choir. Her students have earned acceptance to study classical voice, contemporary commercial voice, music theatre, and theatre at various schools including Indiana University, Cleveland Institute of Music, Belmont, Southern Methodist University, University of North Texas, and Kansas State University. She is also the coauthor of Music Appreciation: A Guide for the Active Listener.
